Mrs. Dawn Oehmann serves as Principal of Cornerstone Classical Academy. She joined the staff in the summer of 2020 and was part of the team that successfully opened CCA for our inaugural year.

 

With more than 20 years of experience as a teacher, Mrs. Oehmann has shared her love of learning with students in a variety of settings, most recently in a Jacksonville-based Catholic school where she taught 5th and 6th graders for the past 13 years. Over the course of her career, she has primarily focused on English and Literature teaching in grades 1-7.  Providing students with an engaging, safe, and consistent environment is her daily driving force.  This year, she has loved being an advocate for teachers and assisting them in curriculum and student related items.

Mrs. Oehmann is the product of a military family, who settled in Jacksonville during her high school years.  She is a proud Fletcher High School Alumni and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Florida. In 2017, she graduated from Saint Leo University with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

She believes that learning from the vast history, scientific achievements, amazing mathematicians, great orators, and diverse literature gives classical educators the springboard to the create great minds of the future in a place where virtue is esteemed, and thought-provoking discussion is conducted daily.

Mrs. Oehmann has a loving husband and two daughters who bring her joy each day.  She is a proud member of the inaugural Administration bringing classical education to Jacksonville through CCA and is honored to serve as Principal.
