Crystal Baker

Crystal brings to the board more than a decade of experience with non-profit fundraising and management, grassroots advocacy and mobilization, operations and event planning.


She is the Senior Director of Development for State Policy Network (SPN), a national non-profit focused on serving a network of 60+ policy research organizations. In her role, she manages a team of frontline fundraisers and serves as a liaison between SPN and its strategic partners primarily focused in the southeastern states. Prior to joining SPN, Crystal spent six years at a Denver-based public affairs consulting firm as Director of Operations for two foundations and a leadership program.


Originally from Frankfort, IL, she’s a recovering political operative who started her career working on a presidential campaign in Iowa in the 2008 election cycle. Crystal attended the University of Iowa where she received a Bachelor of Arts in both Psychology and Political Science.


Crystal lives in Jacksonville’s Southside area with her husband, Jeff, and their son, Cameron, where she enjoys cooking, traveling, running, and new adventures.
